After completing a Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Taylor attended Fleming College and earned a diploma in Ecosystem Management. In the years following she participated in various international research projects and local internships within the field of conservation. Her work gradually shifted from field research to projects focusing more on community engagement, education, and outreach. Taylor is now coordinating the eelgrass research project for the FOME lab.
