James Kho

Postdoctoral fellow

James is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the FOME lab and CERI. James completed his doctorate on Atlantic herring population genomics at Dalhousie University in 2024, focusing on the transcriptomic and DNA methylation responses of early-stage herring to elevated temperature and extended photoperiod. His current research focuses on how eelgrass (Zostera marina) responds to increased temperature treatments based on predicted global warming models. He aims to better understand the molecular underpinnings of eelgrass resilience to help inform future trajectories of the species.
