Brody McNeil
Independent Research Student
Brody is a undergraduate Biology student. His research with the FOME lab is on American Lobster fishing dynamics in LFA 32 (the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia). The data collection for his research project is taking place during the spring and summer of 2026, where he will be working on a commercial lobster fishing vessel to measure the spatiotemporal distribution of lobster and bycatch throughout the 60 day season.
Apart from his research, Brody has an immense passion for the woods, the water, and the conservation of them both. He spends all of his free time in the outdoors, doing anything from fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon in Cape Breton to hunting for White-tailed deer deep in Nova Scotia's Interior.
