Ava is completing her undergraduate degree in marine biology with co-op and a certificate in GIS mapping. She volunteers in the FOME lab where she has worked most closely with Isabelle, helping with her research by assessing the thermal limits of fish species in the Eastern Scotian Shelf ecosystem. She hopes to study the effects of climate change on marine protected areas to understand their risk status and ensure their protection in a changing climate.
